Buckingham Palace has released the full details of the Queen’s tour of Australia this month, which will include meetings with Queensland flood victims and a visit to the Floriade Flower Festival.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip arrive in Canberra on October 19 for a busy 10-day tour of the country.
Her Majesty will give audiences to the Governor-General, Prime Minister and Opposition leader while she is in Canberra, and will also visit the Floriade Flower Festival and attend St John’s Church.
The royal couple will also attend a reception at Parliament House.
The royals then travel to Brisbane to meet Queensland flood victims and emergency personnel, before returning to Canberra to lay a wreath at the War Memorial.
While In Melbourne they will ride a tram and open the Royal Children’s Hospital. They will then make their way to Perth for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The visit will be the 85-year-old monarch’s sixteenth to Australia.
