WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Pacific Northwest will continue to be hit with heavy rains and snow on Sunday, raising the threat of flooding and avalanches until Monday, according to weather.com and Accuweather.
A warm, wet front coming from the Pacific will contribute to flooding in Washington state and southern Oregon that has led the National Weather service to post advisories across several counties.
Rainfall in the area is expected to total between 1 to 3 inches.
The temperature is expected to be slightly than average over the next few days, forecasters said.
In the Rockies snow will continue to fall through the early days of this week.
Conditions could lead to avalanches on the western face of the Cascades.
